Ham-Wrapped Breadsticks |
Ham-Wrapped Breadsticks No of Servings : 20, one wrapped breadstick each Preparation Time : 15 minutes Total Time : 15 minutes
Ingredients:
20 slices of fresh shaved Honey Ham (about 6 oz.) 1/2 cup Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread 20 long sesame breadsticks
Method:
- Keep the cheese spread out of the refrigerator for some time till it becomes soft.
- Take a slice of ham and evenly spread the cheese spread on it.
- Wrap the slice of ham around the top half of the breadstick.
- Add a dash of pepper if you like.
- Repeat the above process with all the remaining slices of ham, cheese spread and breadsticks.
- Serve immediately, else the breadstick will become soggy where the cheese comes into contact with it.
- This dish is a good starter and the perfect accompaniment for soups.

- Ham – wrapped breadsticks is a very quick recipe and requires no advance preparation.
- Honey ham imparts a sweet taste, and also imparts the goodness of honey- aiding in digestion,
- To decrease the fat content of the recipe, low fat cheese spread can be used.
- Low fat cottage cheese combined with chives is also another healthy spread which can be used instead of cheese spread.
- A variety of breadsticks can be used as base for this recipe. Those containing whole wheat flour are healthier.
- Sesame is an excellent source of calcium, making it a good way to make sure your kids are getting their daily quota of calcium!
