Health advice on burn reaction
The immediate step is to remove the excess hair dye from the face. Stop using the dye. The cause for the burn has to be identified.
Identify the original culprit, namely the brand or the chemical constituents of the dye. Rinse your face in cold tap water and apply any over-the-counter cream for burns and close with a sterile dressing. Check the date of manufacture and expiry of the chemical.
Avoid using unbranded hair dyes, to cut on the cost. Aloe vera gel is an effective remedy for burns. Vitamin E ointment also proves beneficial. Home remedies are determined by the degree of the burn. Scarring of the facial skin is possible. Sensitive skin is one more factor causing to burns. Try checking out for professional help from a salon. Yet another alternative is to shave off your beard, thereby avoiding hair dye. If it is severe, refer to a dermatologist for further guidance.
