Treatment for viral kidney infection

In medical terminology, kidney infection is known as pyelonephritis. Kidney infections are mostly caused by bacteria and these infections occur in the upper urinary system. These infections usually start in the lower urinary tract and then cause a urinary tract infection (UTI). The bacteria can then spread to the kidneys also.

Some of the symptoms of kidney infections include high blood pressure, lower back pain, frequent urination, a burning sensation when you pass urine, and fever. As natural cures, you can try drinking one or two cups of cranberry or crangrape juice. But if you are a diabetic, it is best to consult a doctor before you drink cranberry juice. You can also try natural antibiotics such as take garlic and enchinacea. Some herbal remedies that you can try are parsley leaf tea, which is parsley leaves boiled in water for a few minutes.

Other such remedies are dandelion tea, cleavers tea, uva rusi leaf, buchu leaf, and herbal seed extract. Ensure that you do not take a lot of carbonated drinks such as cola, because it might actually cause or aggravate the kidney infection. In general, drinking lots of water on a regular basis can prevent kidney infections. If your symptoms still persist after a few days, do consult your doctor.
