Question on b complex capsules

Please let us know whether B Complex capsules are best to be taken during morning after breakfast or at night before sleep.

B-complex comprises of various vitamin B compounds. These vitamins may be removed from the body through perspiration and consumption of alcohol, coffee and tea. They are also lost during cooking.


Your store of B vitamins may also get depleted during physically stressful times. The B vitamins are essential for the functioning of the nervous system and are also good for digestive health. They also play a role in the enzyme reactions which regulate energy, hormones and circulation. Since these vitamins are interdependent on each other, taking a B-complex supplement is most beneficial.

It is advisable to take B-complex capsules in the early part of the day. The best time to take them is between 2 and 3pm. If you take them later in the day, you may find it difficult to sleep. The benefits of B-complex supplements are as follows;
  • The B vitamins are necessary for the conversion of glucose into energy. Vitamin B deficiency may lead to fatigue and low energy.
  • They also aid in the proper functioning of the nervous system. Deficiencies can result in stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Vitamin B-complex helps in digestion and is involved in the breakdown of carbohydrates, protein and fat. Lack of B vitamins may lead to poor digestion and inadequate absorption of vital nutrients.
  • The vitamins are necessary for cell reproduction and DNA synthesis. The B vitamins are also important for the health of the nails, hair and skin. Deficiencies of these vitamins may lead to acne, dermatitis, hair fall and brittle nails.

It is best to take them earlier in the day, preferably before 2-3:00pm.  If taken later, the B-vitamins may make it more difficult for some people to fall asleep.
