Alternative cures for leg sores

grandson has sores on his leg as been there for a month. I have put everything on it.Can not get rid of it.Please help

It is not really clear how your grandson developed the sores on his leg, and you have not mentioned exactly what remedies you have tried either. Sometimes we do get a small injury on our leg which does not heal completely; that infected area can turn into a leg sore which is quite painful and may also cause severe itching. Sores also often occur when there is prolonged pressure due to inadequate supply of blood. Normally, when a sore develops, the center of the wound is moist and the color is light as well.

It is advisable that you have a doctor examine your grandson's legs to determine why these sores keep appearing. The sores could actually be insect bites, or they may be some sort of rash, or they could be something entirely different. In the meanwhile, we can suggest a few simple remedies, some of which you may already have tried. First of all, to keep the area clean and disinfected so that the wound does not spread and become worse, you can try applying a few drops of tea tree oil. You can use a dry cotton cloth over the wound and also protect it with a thin plastic sheet so that it does not get wet. The drier and cleaner it is kept, the faster the wound will heal. To the extent possible, ensure that your grandson does not get his legs wet or muddy for at least the next week. Before your grandson goes to bed, you can clean the affected area, apply a small amount of honey to the sores, and then cover them with a cotton gauze, which can be left on overnight. Honey is a natural disinfectant and antibacterial agent, and works well to protect and heal wounds.

The circulation of blood is also very important in the healing of sores, but for a young child, this is unlikely to be a problem. However, it is generally advisable to avoid staying in one position for a very long time, for example standing or sitting for hours together. Tight clothes should of course be avoided, and physical activity should be engaged in regularly. Having garlic thrice a day is often recommended to help improve blood circulation. Cayenne pepper can also be mixed with a cup of hot water, and can be consumed twice a day to help circulation of blood.
