Because of their still developing immune systems, children are significantly more prone to a number of medical complications in comparison to adults. As a result it is important for the parent to take note of any symptoms of medical abnormality to help detect the presence of some medical problem as soon as possible – allowing it to be treated more effectively. There are a number of reasons that could cause a toddler to vomit and the low appetite is a rather common symptom linked with the same condition. It is important to first identify if the condition has been triggered by something the child ate in his or her last few meals as well as the kinds of water and fluids consumed within the last 24 hours. Some of the factors that influence the development of the condition include a viral or bacterial infection that triggers an intestinal illness by the bacteria or virus infecting the intestinal lining or stomach lining. While the vomiting will usually stop within a period of about 24 hours, it will be accompanied by other symptoms such as abdominal pain and fever. A number of respiratory infections, including congestion, all play a role in the development of the condition. It is important to diagnose the root cause of the condition through a series of medical tests with your doctor as it will help identify the presence of some serious conditions such as Reyes disease, meningitis, pneumonia or even appendicitis. There is also the possibility of intestinal worms breeding in the child's intestines, causing these reactions.

Because of the fact that most of these reactions are very common in children as well as adults, there are a number of home remedies that will prove to be rater effective in treating most causes. Garlic, for example, is highly regarded not only for its antibacterial properties, but is also known to be a very effective combatant of intestinal worms, making it a very potent cure against most factors influencing the reaction. Chewing on a clove of garlic and ingesting the resulting juices will reach the stomach and react with the parasite or bacteria causing the vomiting. If worms have been identified as being the root cause in your child's condition, one of the best methods of dealing with them is to take some amount of papaya seeds and grind them before mixing them in with some water and drinking it. After a few days, you will notice the child seemingly more relaxed because of the beneficial effects that the mixture had on the intestinal worms.
