Home Remedies & Causes For Tight Bowel Movement, Pain And Bleeding

Infrequent and difficult bowel movement accompanied by blood could be caused by a variety of factors such as haemorrhoids, incomplete bowel movement, a high intake of refined foods like bread and sugar, a lack of fluid intake, or diseases like colitis, diabetes, acidity or even tumors. When bowel movement is disrupted for a long period of time, the toxins in the body build up and may move into the blood stream and slowly affect other parts of the body as well. If the condition has persisted for a long period of time, you may want to consult a physician to rule out any serious ailment. On the home front you may follow the following remedies as well.

Take about ten glasses of water and pour it into a copper vessel. Keep the water overnight and drink throughout the next day. Water will help keep the body hydrated and make sure that the intestines are in good working condition. Avoid greasy, oily junk food, alcohol, artificially flavored and caffeinated beverages, smoking and dry food as these can interfere with your bowel movements. Make sure that your diet consists of food which is high in fiber such as fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Supplement your diet with fresh fruit juices and drink it up along with the fibrous pulp. Figs and dry grapes have laxative properties and are an excellent remedy for constipation. Soak them overnight in a copper vessel and consume on an empty stomach in the morning. If your job is sedentary, take time out for an early morning and evening walk. This is because a lack of exercise can cause constipation. Avoid food products that are difficult to digest, particularly grams, beans, legumes and cabbages. Eat salads consisting of beetroot and tomatoes to provide some relief and include papayas, bananas and sugarcane in your daily diet. Papayas and guavas contain large amounts of roughage and can be part of your daily fruit salad. Take one teaspoon of flax seeds and soak it for about three hours. Strain the mixture and drink the water before going to bed. This should make your bowel movement easy in the morning. You can make a fine powder by grinding about 3 sunflower, sesame and linseeds and 3 almonds. Mix the powder with your fruit salad or fruit juice and consume once a day. Grind dates into a fine pulp and mix it into a glass of warm milk. Consume the concoction every night before going to bed.
