Natural cures to remove spots on face

Spots on the face could either be in the form of freckles or liver spots. Freckles are a condition that is seen mostly in light skinned people due to over exposure to the sun. Liver spots also known as age spots are darkened spots on the skin that occur due to constant exposure to the harmful rays of the sun. Since you have not mentioned your age or skin color, we will have to take into consideration both of the above conditions, their causes and treatments.

Freckles:

Freckles are most commonly noticed among people who have a fair complexion. They are small dark spots caused by hyperpigmentation of melanin on the body. They occur on parts of the body that are overexposed to the sun. When the body is over exposed to the sun it produces an increased amount of melanin. However, sometimes when the production of melanin is uneven it could result in the formation of freckles. These spots generally disappear after a few days. However, you can use the following remedies to speed up your recovery process.

  • Slice a lemon and rub its juice on your face. Lemon is naturally acidic in nature and helps bleach the skin. It lightens the freckles and helps provide relief from this condition. Finish this process by washing your face with room temperature water.

Apply a good sun screen lotion while going out in the sun. This will ensure that your skin remains protected from the harmful UV rays of the sun. If the skin is protected form the UV rays of the sun, it will not produce the extra amount of melanin that leads to this condition.

Age or Liver Spots:

After a certain age the skin loses its natural ability to regenerate and heal it self. Therefore, when constantly exposed to the harmful UV rays of the sun it turns permanently darker in shade. Since this condition occurs after the age of 40 it is called age spots. The following remedies will help you get rid of these spots.

  • Always apply a sun screen lotion when you move outdoors. If you are 40 years or above in age, you need to remember that your skin does not regenerate at the rate it used to. Therefore, a sun screen lotion that has a SPF value of 30 and above will help your skin protect it self from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

In both cases, you will need to include a process called exfoliation in order to lighten the pigmentation. Do this regularly as it will help to reveal a fresh layer of skin. Apply a paste made of aloe vera juice, tomato juice and turmeric powder on the darkened skin. Allow the paste to remain on your skin for 15 minutes. Using oatmeal that has been soaked in milk, scrub the paste off gently. Tomato juice is a natural bleaching agent that will help in lightening your skin tone. Aloe vera will soothe your skin and rejuvenate it. Turmeric will provide your skin with a soft glow. The oatmeal will serve as an efficient exfoliating agent. Wash your body thoroughly after this and wipe it dry. You will be able to see a marked improvement in your skin color and complexion within a few weeks.
