Lip Hyperpigmentation

suggest me any cream to remove the black spot. This black spot is below the bottom lips

Hyperpigmentation is the most probable cause for the black spot under your lip. There are many factors that cause hyperpigmentation; some of the main factors are listed below.

  • Over exposure to the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun is known to cause hyperpigmentation.
  • Age or liver spots are also caused due to over exposure to the sun, but are more permanent in nature. They are caused because of the skins inability to cure itself. With age the body loses its ability to fend of the damage caused by the harmful rays of the sun, thus leading to the development of age spots.
  • Hormonal changes can also cause hyperpigmentation. In this condition larger areas of the skin are darkened, they are also known as melasma or chloasma spots. These are attributed to hormonal changes that a woman goes through during pregnancy, or if she consumes birth control pills as the body goes through the same phase, like that in pregnancy to some extent.

You can check for which of the above conditions you may be experiencing. If you think you fall into the second or third condition, then a visit to a dermatologist is imperative. However if the hyperpigmentation in your case is caused due to over exposure to the sun there are a few simple home remedies that could help you resolve your problem.

Hyperpigmentation is caused when an access amount of a pigment called melanin is activated in a particular part of the body, due to over exposure to the sun. The most obvious remedy for the same would be to protect your skin from the sun. You can achieve this by applying a sun screen lotion having a sun protection factor of 30 or above. Additionally you could use a hat or umbrella to protect your face and other parts of your body from coming in contact with the sun. This will help in preventing further pigmentation.

To normalize the hyperpigmentation that has taken place under your lower lip you could use the following home remedies that could prove as effective as commercially available products.

  • Use lemon to bleach your skin, this will help lighten your skin tone and provide it with a firm texture. Slice a fresh lemon and rub it on the affected area of your skin. Allow the juice to settle on the skin and then using a soft scrub gently rub the area. Wash your skin thoroughly with cold water after this to make sure no lemon extract is left behind. Lemon oxidizes in the presence of sun light therefore do not venture out in the sun after using this method as it may cause the area to darken further. Vitamin C present in lemons is known for the bleaching effect it has on the skin. Therefore you could also include lemon juice in your diet for better results.
  • Tomato puree mixed with unflavored yogurt and a tinge of turmeric powder would also help you achieve the same results as tomato contains citric acid which is a natural bleach. The yogurt and turmeric possess anti bacterial and anti fungal properties that will soothe the skin and help to lighten the Hyperpigmented skin.
