Babchi also known as Psoralea corylifolia (botanical name) is an ayurvedic herb. Babchi seeds are used as remedy for leprosy, internal ulcers, skin conditions like leucoderma, fevers; it is also used as a stimulant, aphrodisiac, antibacterial, antifungal, laxative and diuretic. The active component in the seeds is an essential oil. A tsp of babchi seeds powder can be used internally, taken with honey and cilantro to improve taste. It can also be applied as an ointment externally.
