I have 2 little ones both have eczema, the best over the counter stuff to use is eucerin and/or aquaphor(which is made by eucerin) they are both very mosturizing. The only thing though that will work on either one of my kids is rescription meds called elidel, it is the best thing ever. Call your doc and try it. Hope this helps!!

While applying diaper rash cream to my daughter, I found that it cured the dermatitis on my hands!  I have had this problem my entire life.  Try it.  It works!

Best way to treat eczema is to keep your dry itching skin well lubricated and moist.
Some Home remedy treatments for eczema:
1) Grate nutmeg (nutmeg) and mix in a little water. Apply this paste to the affected area.
2) Mix 1 tsp camphor with 1 tsp sandalwood paste and apply this to the affected eczema areas.
3) Use mild soaps any soap which specifies “For hypoallergenic skin” or “For sensitive skin”. Soaps with moisturizers such as Dove, Olay are good.
4) Oatmeal baths are good cleansers- Take the flaky variety of oats and blend it in a dry mixer to make powder. Mix in a little water and make thick paste. You can use this instead of soap to cleanse your body while having bath.
5) Pat dry yourself after bath (do not rub your skin), then mix almond oil with castor or mineral oil and apply to skin to keep it hydrated.
Remember that stress and anxiety can flare up eczema so try and remain as cool as possible.
6) Drinking tomato juice (preferably freshly prepared) works wonders on your skin.
7) Drink plenty of water and fluids (like orange juice). A combination of carrot juice and spinach juice is also helpful
