How to get soft hair?

To get soft hair naturally you would need to take care of what you eat and ensure that your scalp is healthy. Your hair is made of a type of protein called keratin and this reflects the health of your hair. If you do not follow a healthy lifestyle then it will reflect on your skin and hair. Your hair will look dull and lifeless no matter how many expensive products you use. Your emotional state also plays an important part in keeping your hair and body healthy. Too much stress and tension can weaken your immune system, making you prone to various ailments and it also causes hair fall and leads to poor dull weak hair.

To get strong shiny healthy hair naturally you can try the following:

Start your day with lots of water as this will help to thoroughly cleanse your system of the harmful toxins. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day and also have fresh fruit juices. Eat a well balanced diet that's rich in proteins and minerals. Include whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, nuts and milk, curd or buttermilk in your diet. Avoid processed and refined foods as they cause more harm than the nutrition they provide. Also avoid fried, spicy oily food.

Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in hot water overnight. Swallow these in the morning with a glass of warm water. Follow up with more glasses of water after some time. This will cleanse your system and also promote the growth of strong shiny soft hair naturally. Do this daily.

Oil your hair regularly with a mix of pure neem (margosa), organic virgin coconut oil and organic virgin sesame oil in equal quantities. Mix well and warm this oil slightly before applying then massage well into the scalp and hair. Leave on overnight and wash your hair with a mild herbal or baby shampoo the next morning. Condition your hair using a mild conditioner or you could also use a mix of honey and lemon juice in equal quantities. Honey will deeply moisturize your hair to make it soft and lemon juice will give intense shine.

You can also give your hair a nutritious sweet treat. Mash a ripe banana, add a tablespoon of honey, an egg and ¼ cup of flat beer to it. Mix well or run through a blender. Apply this on your scalp and cover the length of your hair liberally. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave on for about 1 to 2 hours. Then wash it out using a mild shampoo and condition as usual or using a honey lemon conditioner as mentioned above.
