Homemade Mayonnaise To Condition Hair

Posted in Category : Hair Care

One of the most effective ways to keep your hair naturally healthy is to condition regularly. A good conditioner provides essential moisture for your hair and helps protect it against damage and dryness. It is important, however, to choose a conditioner that is suited for your hair type. For instance, excessively dry and frizzy hair may require a stronger and more intensive conditioner than hair that is oily. Mayonnaise is an excellent natural conditioner that will help restore shine and vitality to your hair. Mayonnaise is a natural and simple remedy for hair that is dull, dry and damaged. Moreover, mayonnaise is readily available in your kitchen and is an effective remedy for a wide range of hair problems.

The simplest method of using mayonnaise as a hair conditioner is with the help of a wide toothed comb. Wash your hair with a gentle shampoo that is suitable for your hair type. Ensure that you don’t wash your hair with water that is too hot as this may lead to dry hair and an itchy scalp. After drying your hair gently with a towel, apply a tablespoon of mayonnaise to it. Now spread the mayonnaise along the length of your hair and scalp using a wide toothed comb. Ensure that the mayonnaise is spread evenly over your hair and scalp. You can use more mayonnaise depending upon your hair length or on how dry it is. Leave the mayonnaise in your hair for at least an hour and then wash it off with shampoo. Rinse your hair with cold water and then dry and style your hair as usual. This will help lock moisture in your hair and protect it from breakage. Moreover, hair will be more manageable once it is conditioned regularly. You can also condition your hair using homemade mayonnaise. Homemade mayonnaise is also very effective in the treatment of dry and damaged hair. You can make mayonnaise at home by blending together one egg yolk, one teaspoon of white vinegar, half a teaspoon of mustard and a pinch of pepper and salt. Put these ingredients into the blender and set it on a low speed. Then add three ounces of olive oil or any other vegetable oil to this mixture and your homemade mayonnaise is ready to use.

Applying mayonnaise to your hair regularly will help prevent static, thereby preventing the ‘fly away’ look that hair acquires after washing.
