Cure for acid reflux

Acid reflux is a problem typically faced by people who suffer from hyperacidity. There could be many reasons for this, but primarily, the cause lies in poor eating habits and indigestion that results as a cause of that. There are various ways to control the problem. You can begin with making a few changes in your basic diet to begin with. The first thing to do is to start drinking at least 10 liters of water on a daily basis. You may not be able to do this all at once, especially if you are not used to it. Basically, drinking water will flush excess toxins and acids out of your system via urination. It will also work at diluting the acids that are excessively produced by the body in the condition of acid reflux. The next thing to do is watch your diet very strictly. You need to eliminate all spices from your food. While this may be unpalatable for a while, it will make an overnight difference to your acidity. You would also need to eliminate fried food or food cooked with excess oil. It is advisable to eat light meals for the duration of at least a week before you can hope to have taken a successful positive step towards a permanent cure. Try to stick to salads, sandwiches and soups, rather than opting for meats and fast foods. This will make a major difference.

Yogurt is a great neutralizer of acidity and will make a huge difference in your efforts to fight it. Consume as much as you can, whether it is just edible yogurt or of the blended drinkable variety. Chilled milk is another great product that kills acidity and prevents reflux. It is a good idea to keep sipping it all day. Apples are also a terrific way to neutralize acidity. You should eat the fruit rather than having the juice.
