The condition you have described does not match with anything that is medically known as silver streaks. As a matter of fact, there is no recorded information on any skin condition known as silver streaks at all. Perhaps you should double check with the doctor about what you have been told. It is possible that the doctor will be able to guide you better about how to tackle this problem if it is indeed known as silver streaks. To take care of the discoloration caused to your skin due to a combination of the cream you used and harsh sunlight, you can take some simple measures. The first thing to do would be to stop using the steroid cream completely. The next thing would be to ensure that you are well protected from the sun every time you go out. This is especially important so as to not cause any further damage to your legs. You should also make it a point to apply aloe vera gel to your dark streaks so that they can heal as well as lighten. Do remember that this will take a considerable amount of time, however. Remember to also start using mild, herbal and natural soaps and lotions so that the condition is not aggravated.
