How do I get rid of genital warts at home?

Natural Remedies for Warts

Warts are basically caused by viral infections, and in most cases, the body gets rid of them on its own, although this can sometimes take a long time, up to several months. You can try a few home remedies to hasten this process, but if a wart doesn't disappear within a month, it is a good idea to visit a doctor for advice, in case it is an indication of something more serious.

One common recommendation for treating warts at home is rubbing them with cut onions a couple of times a day. You can also add vinegar to this solution by putting a few drops of vinegar on the onion before using it. Potatoes work too, as do lemons – take a freshly cut slice of potato or half a lemon, and rub it into the warts for around five minutes, twice a day. Castor oil is also supposed to be good for warts. You can apply a teaspoon of castor oil on the affected area every night before you go to bed.

It is very important not to touch warts too much, as this can spread the infection, not only causing more warts in the same area, but also in other parts of the body.
