If you have swelling and pain in your ear due to excessive cleaning, the first thing you must do is leave the ear alone. This will make a considerable difference within 24 hours. If the pain persists, you should put a few drops of warm freshly squeezed garlic juice in your ear for relief. Alternately, you can also use a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel and lie down with the aching ear on it.

A very good remedy for taking care of your bruising and injuries is to put a few drops of the tincture of arnica in your ear. This will help to heal it tremendously. You can also put a few drops of witch hazel in your ear, as this is an excellent way to heal any minor injuries and is harmless enough not to have any dire side effects.
