Dry nose natural remedies Our nose actually has a lot of moisture. And surprisingly it is the mucus in our noses that ensures that our nose is kept comfortably moist. The mucus in your nose is made up of almost 95% of water and as you can imagine this ensures that your nose is comfortably moist.
But as people get older they notice, among other changes, that their noses become drier. What happens is that the membrane that is inside our nose becomes dry. As it dries up this delicate membrane also become increasingly more brittle.
This means that the veins in the nose can easily suffer a break. So if you notice a dry nose you should do something about it, since this could well lead to a nosebleed. A dry nose is caused by a lack of moisture. You can try using a saline drip to ensure that your nose is moist. In addition you should humidify your living space. When you use heaters in winter or air conditioners in the summer, this results in drying out your nose. You can try to reduce the amount of treated air that you breathe in. If this is not possible, then you can try a simple remedy to ensure that there is sufficient moisture in the air. Simply fill large bowls of water and leave them around your house. Ensure that there are at least two bowls of water in your bedroom. Change the water regularly and you will notice a difference.
