How to treat chest congestion and cough?

Boil some water in a container and a few drops of eucalyptus oil in it. Now, cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam till the water becomes warm. You can repeat this process 3 to 4 times a day. It will help in the release of mucus through mouth and nose and decongest your chest.

Peel and grate some ginger roots and boil it in 2 glasses of water. Add a handful of Holy Basil leaves and let it become 1/3rd of its quantity. Strain the liquid and add some common salt and black pepper powder to it and sip it while it is still warm. Boil ginger roots in your regular tea to get relief from cough. Take 1 tsp ginger juice with 1 tsp of honey 2 times a day or suck on a root of ginger with a little salt 3 to 4 times daily.Gargle with salt water twice a day.

Drink 1 cup of warm milk mixed with 1/4th tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of honey. You can drink this continuously for 3 to 4 days and then give a break of another 3 or 4 days. Check if you still feel the congestion, then start having it for a few days. After 2 or 3 weeks your cough and congestion will be cured. You can also take 1 tsp of honey in which 1/4th tsp of turmeric powder has been added alternatively.
