Cough is our body's natural way of telling us that there is excess mucus in the body and that it needs to be thrown out. Thankfully, there are several remedies in the kitchen itself that help take care of this problem. To decrease the intensity of the cough, fill black pepper powder and salt in a lemon and suck on it. To cure your cough, take one tea spoon of honey and add white pepper to it. Take this mixture two to three times a day for about a week. If you are suffering from dry cough, gargle with warm spinach juice. Another cure for dry cough is making a mixture of a half spoon of khus khus seeds, three to four teaspoons of coconut milk, and honey. This mixture taken daily at bedtime is highly beneficial. Coughing makes the throat sore. To soothe your throat, mix onion juice with honey and have it twice a day. Another quick cure is mixing 2 tablespoons of honey with one cup of orange juice and drinking it at least once a day. As a precautionary measure, avoid eating sour food like yoghurt, lemon, pickle, etc. Avoid intake of cold water and other cold products like ice-creams and soft drinks.
