Black eye cure will include methods on how to get rid of a black eye fast. As black eye is most often the result of an injury to the eye home remedies would involve applying an ice pack to the eye to lessen the pain and the swelling and to constrict the blood vessels. This will reduce the fluid accumulation and numb the area by cooling it and lessen the pain.
The ice should be put into a cloth or in an ice bag and applied to the eye and not directly. If this is done every one hour the eye should return to normal soon and also have less of discomfort. Strenuous activities should be avoided during this time until the eye has healed.
Black Eye Natural treatment
The black eye natural treatment will depend on the extent of the injury and the condition of the eye. A black eye is the result of an injury to the head or face. The injury could result in the collection of fluid around the eye which causes swelling and discoloration giving it the name of a black eye. As black eyes are most often caused by minor injuries, they can heal on their own in within a few days. Though the term used is black eye and there is discoloration around the eye, it is most often not an eye injury. There is fat around the area of the eye and loose skin and this makes it an ideal place for fluids to collect. Sometimes both eyes could be affected too. Surgeries which involve the face like a facelift, a nose surgery and even a jaw surgery could be the cause of black eyes. A basilar fracture of the skull is a head injury which makes both eyes turn black and become swollen and this is referred to as “raccoon’s eyes” because of the look. Though there are other causes which cause swelling around the eyes like insect bites, allergies, cellulitis and angiodema, these conditions do not cause discoloration. Even dental problems could cause swelling near and around the eyes.
Treatment for a black eye would depend on the extent of injury and the cause of it. If there is extensive pain and swelling these symptoms will first be treated while the doctor diagnoses the main cause of the black eye. The doctor should be notified and consulted immediately if the vision becomes blurred or there is any other problem with the vision. There could also be difficulty in opening the eye because of the swelling and a head ache accompanying the black eye.
If the injury is more than superficial and of a more serious nature then there will be symptoms like a persistent headache, the surface of the eye will have blood on it, clear fluid or blood running from the nose or ear, the person will not be able to move the eye, loss or eyesight and double vision or loss of consciousness. A doctor should be consulted to ensure that there is no serious damage and if there is, it is attended to as soon as possible.
Some other conditions which would require immediate medical attention in a black eye are when the swelling does not reduce even after a few days, there is dizziness, vomiting and nausea and changes in the behavior of the person like a lethargy or forgetfulness; there seems to be infection and pus; severe pain and changes in vision. Treatment for broken facial bones, lacerations and broken teeth would have to be seen to as an emergency.
How to get rid of a black eye Apart from home remedies and simple first aid which is given as soon as the incident occurs, the person may also require medical attention to get rid of the black eye. If there is no other damage then treating the symptoms which in this case is the black eye should cure the problem. In case of pain, a pain killer other than an aspirin can be given. Aspirin being an anticoagulant will increase the amount of fluid around the area. Here it is better to take the advice of your doctor as it is best not to medicate such conditions on your own.
Black eye remedies Black eye remedies to heal black eye quickly are those which will reduce the fluid retention around the eye and lessen the discoloration. Keep the head in an elevated position so that the fluid accumulation is reduced around the eyes. Massaging the area around the eye gently with a soft tissue in circular motion should help to get rid of the swelling and discoloration. If this does not subside then it is time to seek your doctor’s advice. Sometimes the person could also be suffering with a disease which makes them more prone to bruises.
Getting rid of a black eye Contusion or a bruise which break the capillaries cause the blood to seep out and it is this which collects around the eye area and gives it the purple or blackish discoloration. If this is a superficial bruise which has caused it there is really no treatment required for it and only a home remedy will suppress it. A hot or cold compress help to reduce the swelling as well as the discoloration and with this the eye returns to normal within a short time. Even if it takes a day or two and there are no other serious effects there is cause for distress apart from the appearance.
Heal black eye Castor oil massaged around the eye helps the black eye condition and relieves the swelling. This can be done regularly until the swelling and discoloration disappears completely. The massage should be done very gently as the under eye skin is tender and could sag if the massage is done forcefully.
Sometimes people who are on blood thinners or have a history of hemophilia could also be prone to black eyes. This should be treated as a medical emergency and the doctor should be consulted immediately.

Black eye cure A black eye is caused by an injury close to the eye or on the eye itself. The most effective remedy is to apply an ice pack to the affected area. The cold helps to bring down the swelling and also helps to reduce any internal bleeding. If you have a throbbing black eye, it is a good idea to pack crushed ice into a plastic bag and tie it or tape it to the affected area. If you don't have any ice in the house, simply grab a bag of vegetables from your freezer and use that instead.
You should also see a doctor as soon as possible since the injury that resulted in the black eye could have affected your vision. Avoid taking any kind of medication without the consent of your doctor. Drink plenty of pineapple juice. Eating papayas also helps the black eye heal faster. Include sweet potatoes, broccoli, and peppers in your diet. Drink as much orange juice as you can manage. Peel a raw potato and cut off a round slice. Place this over the affected eye for an hour. Peel a cucumber and cut off a round slice. This can be placed over the affected eye to bring relief. Massage the affected area gently with some castor oil.
