I KEEP GOING TO DOCTOR COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE FISH SMELL SHE SAYS ITS NO BIG DEAL JUST USE MEDICATED DOUCHE BUT THAT IS NOT WORKING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?



Treatment for vaginal odor

Infection of the vagina with fungus, bacteria or protozoa is referred to as vaginal infection. It is seen in almost every woman. Acidophilus or lactobacillus organisms grow in the vagina. Disruption of this flora by the entry of other microbes results in vaginal infections. Change in the color of the discharge, heavy odor, irritation, redness and burning sensation are typical of vaginal infections. Bacterial vaginosis is an infection caused by Gardnerella vaginalis. Heavy smell, especially after intercourse and increase in the discharge quantity is seen. Candida vaginitis, causes inflammation of the vagina with heavy white discharge occurs. Trichomonas vaginitis is yet another infection resulting in a heavy discharge with an unacceptable odor. Creams and suppositories are used as a part of treatment. Douching is generally avoided, as water is required for yeast survival. Pushing a garlic clove in the vagina inhibits the infection. It is removed and discarded the next day. Eliminate fermented products and alcohol. Garlic suppositories are recommended. Yoghurt intake is recommended. Refined carbohydrates and sweets are avoided.
