Due to an injury blood came out of brother's nose. When he lay down the pressure of blood stopped. Blood has left some very dark blackish-red colour scars under his both eyes like blood-clotting.

It's quite evident that the bruises under your brother's eyes are not the actual wounds but caused by the pressure of blood when he lay down. When he suffered the injury, the surrounding capillaries or blood vessels ruptured causing the blood to ooze, get trapped and become visible within the skin tissue as bluish-red marks. Some people are prone to getting bruised more easily than others because they have sensitive skin. Usually bruises heal quite quickly. But if you want to speed up the process of getting rid of discoloration, you can try some remedies that will restore the skin to its normal state. Firstly, bruising can be due to deficiency of Vitamin C and minerals as the deficiency make capillaries weak and thin and prone to damage even under slight pressure. So ensure that your brother's diet is rich in Vitamin C in order to strengthen the walls of his blood vessels. Include as many fresh vegetable and fruits in his diet as possible. Some foods rich in Vitamin C are lemon, orange, sweet lime. Other than Vitamin C, Vitamin K or alfalfa in form of tablets will help him too.

Then there are some remedies that have successfully helped sufferers get relief from not only pain but also reduce discoloration caused by injuries. Soak a brown paper bag in apple cider vinegar, squeeze out the excess vinegar and place the wet paper bag on the bruise. This will need some patience as you'll have to keep the bag for many hours, wetting it when it starts to dry. But then you will notice the change in a few hours. Witch Hazel is another remedy that works well in reducing pain and discoloration as well as dealing with the trauma of the injury. Add witch hazel to a tub of warm water for a soothing therapeutic soak. Witch Hazel has astringent, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that help in regulating blood circulation thus help the bruise to heal faster.

Tea prepared from comfrey root is also a very highly recommended remedy for reducing the effects of injury and restoring the original color of the skin. Douse a cloth in the tea and apply it to the discolored area beneath your brother's eyes. Other than the bruised area under eyes, you can apply this treatment on the nose as well to bring him faster relief. However, have him visit a doctor if the bruises don't get better soon as it may be due to some serious internal hemorrhage.
