There are several effective and safe remedies for ear ache and infection in a child so small. You can put a drop of garlic juice in each of the baby's ears for persistent earache. This will help with the ache.


Place a warm cloth against the ear for relief from the ache. You can also wrap a hot water bottle in a towel and make a comforting pillow for an aching ear. The simplest way to do this is to fill a sock with grains of rice and warm it in the microwave.


Be sure you test it on yourself before you place the child on it, as it may be too hot for him to handle. If the ache is bad, you can also put a few drops of the juice of Holy basil to the ear to relieve it.

For an infection, it is always advisable to consult with a doctor before you start trying home remedies. Deep-rooted infections may necessarily need medication in order to get rid of them. Try to make your child drink water from a glass. The gulping motion will help loosen up the inner ear muscles and will help with both pain and an infection. You can also pour a drop of lime juice in each ear to kill a mild infection.
