My hair falling from 2 years and very dry brittle. Please give me advice

Dry and brittle hair can be very limp and tends to break easily. Hair fall is not something abnormal and may be higher in your case particularly because of the dryness. Though hair is usually moisturized by the naturally produced sebum, sometimes, the sebaceous glands are not able to produce enough sebum to keep the hair moisturized. This can be linked to disorders of the skin or an inadequate diet.

Your hair is an important part of your face and contributes a great deal to your overall appearance. Therefore, if you find that your hair is giving you a hard time, perhaps it is time to try on some of these remedies:

  • Hair is made up of keratin. Keratin is a protein, therefore, increasing proteins in your diet can help you improve the quality of your hair and address the brittleness. Snacking on seeds and nuts which are rich in proteins helps improve the texture of your hair by working on the keratin.
  • Vinegar is another excellent remedy that helps improve the health of the scalp. Vinegar is an excellent bactericide. It can kill the bacteria that feed on the sebum (oil secreting glands) and cause the dryness in the hair. In addition to this, vinegar is also an excellent conditioner and adds to the sheen of your hair.
  • Take a ripe banana and mash it into a paste. Now mix this paste with some avocado oil. Work this paste into your hair and massage the scalp with it. Leave this in your hair for about an hour before washing it off with warm water.
  • One of the most popular home remedies for dry and brittle hair is beer. Rinsing your hair with beer after washing it helps to restore moisture and strength to your locks.
  • Egg yolk is considered an excellent remedy for dry and brittle hair. Simply mix an egg with warm water and whip it to make a smooth batter. Work this egg solution into your hair to work up a lather. Leave it on for some time and then rinse it out completely. You can even mix eggs with some olive oil to make a pre shampoo conditioner. Leave it on for at least thirty minutes before you shampoo.
  • There is nothing like a little oil massage for your dry hair. Rub in some olive oil at least twice a week and leave it overnight. In the morning, wash this oil off with some shampoo and water.

Natural Treatment for Hair Fall

Brittle hairs coupled with hair falling are not signs that you should have been ignoring for the past two years. It is a clear indication of lack of nutrition especially in protein. Apart from getting on to a good protein diet, an egg massage sometimes works wonders for those with protein deficiency.

Break a raw egg and apply the raw contents to your scalp and massage it well for 20 minutes, reaching every part of your scalp. Let it stay for another half hour before you rinse and shampoo it off. This can be done daily till you notice favorable results.

Most importantly you need to know the reason for hair breakage. Although you haven't said much about your habits, am assuming you are not into hair perming, straightening or coloring your hair. If you have done any of these things in the past two years then the hair fall and breakage would be attributed to those factors. Since the chemicals used in the products meant for hair styling can be pretty harsh, you would need to take extra precautions in rectifying the damage by protecting the colored or permed hair. However if you haven't done any of these things, then its time t take a few simple tests to determine which vitamins or minerals you lack. It could well be a deficiency in biotin and keratin which are principally hair building blocks, but to be sure you would need to see a dermatologist, especially since this condition has been prevalent for many months.
