Health advice for avoiding tiredness

First we have to identify the root cause of the problem. Either you are not getting a very nutritious diet or you enough sleep. Other things to consider are if you spend too much time in an air conditioned environment, you may not get sufficient oxygen for your needs.

Sometimes not getting enough physical activity can make you feel fatigued, because your muscles actually need exercise to perform at their best.

Some simple pick me ups are listed below:

  1. Get lots of colourful vegetables and fruit like broccoli, capsicum and papayas and grapes in your diet. They are rich in antioxidants and are good for overall health
  2. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and is an excellent energy booster.

    Drink 3-4 cups a day
  3. Get lots of outdoors and fresh air.
  4. Try and walk barefoot on wet grass first thing in the morning
  5. If you are in an artificially heated or cooled environment all day, step out frequently for some fresh air
  6. If your work is sedentary try, and take small breaks during which you can do some small stretching exercises sitting at your desk
  7. Moderate exercise will keep you feeling energetic all day long
  8. Get at least 8 hours of sleep in the nights.
  9. Try soaking in a bath to which Epsom salts, a few drops of bergamot essential oil and lavender essential oil have been added. Do this at the end of the day or after coming home from work.

If these simple lifestyle changes don't make a difference, consider talking to your doctor to rule out anything serious.
