What can I do for nerve damage or muscle spasms in the face?

The first thing you must do is figure out why you are having these spasms. It could also be something other than nerve damage which is causing them. In order to determine the exact cause of the problem, you would need a medical examination. Generally, spasms occur due to overuse or injury to any muscle. The best solution is usually rest. But if you are having these spasms on your face, it would also be indicative of something else. In order to get momentary relief, you can apply ice packs to your face. This will help to ease the spasm and will also allow the muscles and nerves to rest a bit.

If ice packs do not help you at all, then you must switch to moist hot packs. This method may not provide any immediate relief, but if you continue, you will see a change in three to four days. Drink lots of water. If your muscles are dehydrated, they will have a tendency to get exhausted more quickly and will go into spasms more often. If you are in pain, you can make a paste of equal parts of cinnamon powder and honey and apply this to your face. Be careful, as cinnamon could burn your skin if left on for too long. Wash this off with warm water and apply aloe vera gel to heal the skin just in case there is any kind of damage.
