Natural Remedies for Bleeding Gums

Gingivitis is the most common gum disease that causes bleeding. It is an infection that causes the tissues around the teeth and gums to be affected. They can cause plaque deposits or even pus between the teeth. The gums lose their original color and structure. One of the most common symptoms of bleeding gums is that there is redness and soreness of the gums.

Bleeding Gums Cures

  • Brush your teeth morning and evening or even better, after every meal.
  • The use toothpaste that is specially made for sensitive gums can also be a beneficial bleeding gums cure. Use a paste of neem leaves, mint leaves and basil leaves with a pinch of salt to make a good homemade toothpaste.
  • Floss with a mint flavored floss between all teeth after every meal.
  • Gargle your mouth with tepid water. To the water, add a little salt or potassium permanganate.
  • An effective home based bleeding gums cure is clove. You could either massage around the teeth with clove oil or just chew on a clove if clove oil is not readily available.
  • Aloe vera gel is also a good medicine. Massage this gel onto the gums once every day and rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Make a paste with baking soda and water. Massage this paste onto the gums. This will remove the acidity that is caused by bacteria and will reduce the inflammation. This is another very effective homemade bleeding gums cure.
  • Increase your intake of fiber and vitamin C. This can be done by increasing your intake of seasonal fruits and raw vegetables.
