I used to get leg cramps often. This is what my husband did for me and worked very well. First, place large bag of ice on calf...for a few minutes. Then he rubbed my calf hard and vigorously for a few minutes, both can be on the a bit on the painful side. He repeated this twice and it worked wonders!!

A bar of soap under the bottom sheets at calf level. It really works. I also drink 6 oz of fresh carrot juice per day. High potassium level. No more cramping at all with these two remedies.

Now this sounds really freaky but it works for me. I suffered for years with cramps in my feet and calves without finding anything that would help until i heard, from i know not where, that turning your slippers over will ensure you don't get cramp. Started doing it, nothing to lose, two weeks ago and I have not had cramp since. Now how does that work?

Try pickle juice. It works!! My spouse suffered almost nightly with leg cramps. After taking pickle juice, those leg cramps are history. Still takes it occasionally as preventive.

Leg and Foot Cramps

Quinine helps keep these cramps away. Drink a small glass of tonic water (regular or diet) before going to bed if they come during the night and also during the day if the strike then. I also find that standing straight with my feet flat, constant unbroken pressure, for a while will make them subside if they sneak up on me.
