My mother-in-law has backache for years & has frequent urinary infections, the infection recurred 1 month in a row. She dreaded the antibiotic treatment, but doctor can do nothing more than that. After meals 1 high potency multivitamins & minerals, 50ug selenium (for breakfast only),cod liver oil ( total amount 12,500VitA,3,000 IU VitD). Now she is totally cure & free from pain ever since!!!

Problems after eating out
suggested by Sharon on Tuesday, September 11, 2007

I read that drinking from a straw can trigger IBS. I had noticed that about the only time I was troubled by this was after eating at a restaurant. I stopped using a straw and my problem stopped! Now I can enjoy eating out!

Organ responsible for Normal Bowel Movement
suggested by Rose on Friday, August 24, 2007

Again, check on the healthof your liver. This organ is responsible for waste disposal system of the human body. If the bile it releases if enough to throw away all wastes from the body (with the help of the kidney) then IBs will be cured. Of course, this should be always supplemented by proper (yes, proper) eating, and that's eating vegetables and fruits raw - juicing it would be what is best for the body! God created us to eat plants and its fruits - RAW!

I am IBS FREE!!!!!! For 4 years now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
suggested by maria on Tuesday, July 24, 2007

I would like to share my cure from IBS. I've suffered with endless diarrhea for more than 7 years, the sad result of Adkins's diet...Nothing helped. I almost went crazy, I almost lost myself...The doctors wanted to put me on anti-depessors. I went to a holistic doctor. He saved my life. I went through detox for about 4 month using herbs and natural supplements to get rid of candida. I lost 75 Lbs!!! without even noticing it! Then he gradually took me off all meat and dairy. And then he made me a raw-eater. (THAT will cure anything.) There are good books about raw eating. I am a vegan now for 4 years, and loving it. I have no more IBS!! If you have any more questions you can contact me: [email protected] I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO HELP

nutrition, nutrition, nutrition

I completely agree that curing this illness is a very personal thing. You have to realize what kind of foods work with your particular body chemistry. But food intolerances are always a big thing. Personally I am very intolerant to soy, dairy, wheat, sugarcane, coffee and less so to egg. Some IBS websites and gurus will tell you to eat more fiber, or to eat white bread and rice before you eat any raw vegetables or roughage. But oftentimes the problem is caused by an overgrowth of intenstinal bacteria (not the good kind). Sugary, yeasty, carb-rich foods and most things added to anything processed in the standard American diet will add to your symptoms. My advice: reduce these foods and add a high quality pro-biotic like VSL-3 which has been shown to aid in the remission of ulcerative colitis, chrons disease and IBS. Also, make sure you rule out candida or a fungus problem.

IBS

after having IBS for twenty years I was diagnosed with Candida. NO sugar Yeast or dairy. It took me 3 months to get a good variety of food and I have a normal life. A Book called the yeast factor gave me an insight to the life of what had happened to my body for the past 20 years. When I have too much of certain foods I will get the old symptons back. I am so grateful to my naturopath for accidently finding out wht was wrong with me as I went in to see her about something completely different. This is 3 1/2 years ago now. I find cream and yeast are my worst colpret.

Listen to yourself

Don't listen to anyone telling you this is what you need to do. Learn on your own what works, what doesn't and become aware of your choices. Everyone is different and has a different wellness path. It took 25 years and 7 surgeries to learn that, but I know have control...
