Natural Home Remedies To Prevent Curly Hair

Posted in Category : Hair Care

Curly hair can look incredibly attractive when styled right. On the other hand, it can be quite a task to manage curls, especially when the weather is humid and moist. Curly hair tends to frizz a lot and can also get very dry if not taken care of properly. In today’s world, it is easy to go for a complete change in hairstyle. Hair straightening and ironing are very common and allow us the flexibility to change the way we look often. That being said, using harsh chemicals on the hair to straighten it will take its toll eventually. In this article, we will explore a few easy curly hair home remedies that help to keep those curls glossy and beautiful.

As a first step, choose a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair the most. Most brands have different kinds of shampoo catering to different hair types. Do not be afraid to experiment a bit to find that perfect match for your hair. Conditioning your hair on a regular basis is very important. Conditioners help to hydrate the hair. This is important because frizziness usually occurs because the hair lacks moisture. Brush your hair only when it is wet. Trying to rake a comb through your curls when it is dry can break the hair easily and frizz it out even more.

Deep conditioning the hair is another way of hydrating it and bringing out its glossiness. Treatments available at beauty salons and hair studios are usually very expensive.

Given below are a few home remedies to treat loose curls:

  • Egg is a great conditioner. Mix it up with a little oil and massage it on your scalp. Let it sit for twenty minutes or so. If you do not mind the smell, you can go up to even an hour. Though it may seem really unpleasant, once you wash it out, your hair will feel shiny and healthy.
  • Avocado and honey is another easy home remedy to deep condition the hair. Add a couple of tablespoons to a mashed avocado and rub it through the hair. Let it sit for at least half an hour.
  • Shea butter is another moisture rich product that can do wonders for the hair. It is rich in vitamin A and works to replenish moisture in the hair. Pure shea butter is economical and easily available at most grocery stores.

Curly hair requires a little more attention than other hair styles. A little care, however, can do wonders and will leave you hair looking stylish and beautiful.
