I have got blisters in my mouth and I cannot eat or even talk they are very painful

Mouth blisters or ulcers are also known as canker sores. They develop as red areas with a tiny white spot in the center. The insides of the cheeks, lips and tongue are some of the areas where these blisters are most likely to form. Mouth blisters can lead to difficulty and discomfort while eating or drinking. There are various causes of mouth blisters such as injuries to the mouth, vital infections, consumption of acidic food and deficiencies of vitamin B2. Here are some easy home remedies which help in curing mouth blisters.
  • Coconut milk may be used to gently massage the affected areas of the mouth. This is a soothing remedy which relieves itching and pain and can be done thrice daily.
  • Chewing holy basil leaves helps in reducing inflammation in the mouth and also helps to prevent bad breath.
  • Mulberry juice may be consumed to obtain relief from canker sores and ulcers.
  • Prepare an effective mouthwash using a teaspoon of coriander seeds and a cup of boiling water. Once the solution cools down slightly, use it to gargle thrice a day.
  • To alleviate pain and soreness due to mouth blisters, apply a small amount of peppermint oil to the affected areas.
  • Add a teaspoon of glycerin to a pinch of turmeric powder, mix well and apply to the blisters. Turmeric has antiseptic properties and helps to restrict infection and inflammation.
  • Rinse the mouth with a solution of two ounces of water, two ounces of hydrogen peroxide, a teaspoon of baking soda and some salt.
  • A paste of Indian gooseberry also helps to treat mouth ulcers and may be applied to the affected areas twice every day.
  • To prevent aggravation of the blisters, avoid consuming any food that is oily or spicy.
