Alternative cures for dry patchy area on head

My son is four years old and has a white patchy area on the head. it is dry and flaky like eczema.Pl give some home remedy for it

Also referred to as cradle cap, this condition rarely bothers the child and most of the time it is best leaving it alone.  If you do feel the need to do something about it, you can avoid over washing your son’s hair. Wash his hair every other day using baby shampoo. This will avoid over drying. If the condition continues, you should switch shampoos because he maybe allergic to them. Try using dandruff shampoo and let it soak into his scalp for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. This will help it work better. Use this shampoo twice a week. You can also apply a small amount of baby oil with a tooth brush to the scaly area and let it soak for about 30 minutes before you wish his hair, this will help soften the skin and remove the scales.  Most of the time though, it is best to leave this condition alone to heal by itself, unless it is bothering your son. In which case, you can use one of the treatments above.  It is also important that your son’s pillow case be cleaned and changed at least once per week so that his head rests on something that is 100% clean to avoid infection. Make sure, if it is possible, that he plays during the day instead of lying down. The more time he spends off of his head, the better the condition will get!
