Can gall bladder problem affect insulin?

There are ways in which a problem with your gall bladder could lead to a severe drop in the production of insulin. If there are gall stones in the bile ducts, they could lead to trapping of the bile. As more and more bile begins to get trapped into the gall bladder, it leads to infection and finally the inflammation of the gall bladder. Even the slightest of movements of the gall stones ultimately results in the inflammation of the pancreas. The infection of the gall stone and the pancreas can be spread to the neighboring organs as well, but what the infection immediately does is that it disrupts the functioning of the pancreas and therefore, affects the secretion of insulin. This is usually a cyclic process.

A recent research has shown that diabetes can in turn cause gallstones, which is one of the main causes of gall bladder problems. The process may thus continue, and if the infection is not spotted at the right time, it may continue to grow and the person may become septic. Gall bladder natural remedies, though often useful in mitigating the symptoms of the disease, cannot always help in breaking this chain of events. For gall bladder problems, diet is usually supportive of insulin resistant diabetes. Since in a gall bladder condition, one has to consume bland foods with as little fat as possible, the diet works in the favor of diabetes management as well.

There is a growing body of findings that have been able to correlate insulin resistance with dysfunction of various organs, including the gall bladder. A gall bladder remedy may be able to help reduce symptoms, but if the gall bladder problems are occurring due to diabetes, the gall bladder natural remedies would not be of much help. On the other hand, if the gall bladder problems are causing diabetes, gall bladder natural remedies may be able to help with the diabetes management as well. The signs and symptoms of gall bladder problems are completely different from those of diabetes. If a person begins to experience both these conditions within a few days of each other, there are chances that the two conditions may be correlated. There is a relationship between diabetes and abnormal motility of the gallbladder. However, the exact nature of this relationship has not yet been found. Another recent study from Asia has suggested that a healthy gallbladder can aid in the production of insulin. In case the gall bladder is infected, or is injured, apart from spreading the infection to the other nearby organs, the gallbladder cells can also not be used to produce insulin.

Though gall bladder cells cannot produce insulin on their own, stem cell research has shown that the cells from this small organ can be used to synthesize insulin in people who have pancreatic disorders. In case the pancreas has been damaged due to autoimmune conditions, stem cell replacement with the cells from the gall bladder can help in synthesizing adequate amounts of insulin in the body. The relationship of the gallbladder and insulin works both ways. Gall bladder natural remedies can therefore be used to treat gall bladder problems, as well as insulin resistance and diabetes that have been caused due to production of insufficient amounts of insulin by the pancreas. The signs and symptoms of gall bladder problems in general include pain in the lower right side of the abdomen, jaundice, and brown spots on the body. For gall bladders that have been infected, the infection may spread to other parts of the body, causing serious health concerns and symptoms associated with multiple organs. High insulin has also been found to be associated with cholesterol gallstone disease.

Bile trapping, at times result in inflammation of the gall bladder. Certain pancreatic ducts pour into the common bile duct. Movement of gall stones through the pancreatic duct results in gall stone pancreatitis or pancreatic inflammation. This in turn, affects the insulin secretion.
