Should I use regular real Mayo (Miracle Whip) and Vinegar for treating Lice in my head or do I need to buy any special kind of it?

You can try out any mayonnaise for head lice removal. However, miracle whip, which contains more sugar, may not be as effective. Also, eggless varieties of mayonnaise are not to be used because they may not be as good. However, if you want you can also prepare homemade mayonnaise. To prepare mayonnaise at home you should one egg, a cup of olive oil, quarter spoon of mustard powder, two spoons of lemon juice, and a little bit of salt. Mix all of them in a blender and you will get your homemade mayonnaise. As for vinegar, go for apple cider vinegar, which is organic and can be used almost for all purposes, without worrying about any ill effects.

While you are at it, there are a few more home remedies that you may try out to deal with head lice. A common remedy for head lice is applying a paste of garlic and lemon juice. Take a spoonful of lemon juice and mix with garlic paste and apply it on the hair for about half and hour before washing it off with water. You can also add apple cider vinegar to this paste and follow the same procedure. Another effective treatment for head lice is to apply a mixture of lemon juice, vinegar, and egg yolk. Use this mixture on your head and leave it for about half an hour before washing it off with warm water. Tea tree oil is also known to be effective for removing head lice. You can directly apply drops of tea tree oil on the head, or you can also mix it with shampoo while washing hair. However, when dealing with kids you should exercise caution, as it may cause a burning sensation on the scalp. In addition, care should be taken not to let tea tree oil into your eyes, as it is potent enough to cause damage to the eyes. Another good remedy for head lice is olive oil. Massage your scalp with olive oil and leave it overnight by wrapping the head in a towel, then wash off in the morning.

Besides following the home remedies, you should also take some preventive measures to deal with head lice. Maintain proper hygiene of the hair, especially if you have long hair. Wash your hair regularly and apply hair oil or conditioner. Avoid sharing combs, towels, or such things with others as head lice propagates through them.
