Garlic is also an effective remedy as it contains a number of anti-oxidants that help kill the bacteria that is causing a particular stomach disorder. It is also more effective than normal antibiotics as it does not destroy the body's natural bacteria along with the harmful bacteria. Bitter herbs like gentian and dandelion also help as they stimulate the secretion of stomach acids and digestive enzymes, which help bowel movement. These herbs are also available in a capsule form but making a tea out the herbs is far more effective in treating your stomach. Peppermint oil is a very effective remedy for bloating. Peppermint helps reduce bloating and abdominal pain. It does this by inhibiting the passage of calcium into the muscle cells and thus reduces the severity of muscle contraction in the bowels.
