Pimple remedies

what can I put on a pimple to make the redness go away and to dry it up to speed up the process?

There are number of simple yet effective home remedies to deal with unwanted pimples and skin that is prone to out-breaks. You can try making a paste of Fuller's earth, and rose water (it should have the consistency of toothpaste). Apply this mixture to the affected areas and let it dry. Wash it off with warm water. You could also try steaming you face before you apply this paste to expedite the process. In order to prevent future outbreaks you can try this regimen once a week and apply the Fuller's earth mixture on the face and neck after steaming the pores open.

A fruit-based face pack made from papaya and Fuller's earth can be applied once a week as well. Leave it on for twenty to thirty minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. Another effective remedy is sandalwood. Mix a tablespoon of sandalwood powder with some turmeric and cold milk. Apply this paste to the inflamed area to reduce the redness. An application of a paste made of cinnamon powder and a few drops of lemon juice has a therapeutic effect on pimple-prone skin too. Avoid pinching or picking the affected areas as this can further inflame the pimple and leave lasting scars.
