How can I stop my nose from dripping for at least one night!? Is there any over the counter drugs that will help clear my nose canal?

There are OTC drugs for the problem, but most drugs that halt mucus production are not good for health. There is no known cure for the common cold. There are just ways to manage the symptoms including a dripping nose. Unfortunately those medications are known to have dangerous side effects and their use is banned in some countries. I would recommend instead that you try and figure out what is causing the problem. If you have had a cold and that started your nose dripping in the first place, you may simply have to wait until the infection clears up. If your nose drips all the time, it is likely that you have allergies to something in your environment. This is all the more likely if your eyes are red and itchy and if you have sudden, long bouts of sneezing. Read on if allergies are the problem .

Here are some useful tips to help you, if you suffer from sinusitis. There are also some general natural remedies for a flowing nose which I am listing below:
  • Take a Vitamin C supplement at a dose of 1-2 gms per day
  • Eat spicy foods. Spicy foods will make your nose run some more to begin with but may get rid of the irritants in the process
  • OTC menthol inhalers may help dry out your nose to some degree
  • If the nose around your skin is not inflamed try rubbing some Vicks Vaporub. That may slow down the drip.
  • If you need to be presentable in an emergency then you can try any of these OTC drugs. Theraflu, any antihistamine and Afrin nasal spray will give you quick relief, but none of these are good for prolonged use i.e. not more than three days.
