Garlic
suggested by Lena on Monday, February 12, 2007

My daughter had a ring worm under her arm, I mashed up a garlic clove and applied it to her arm and then used a gauze to hold it in place, I held it on for about 10 mins, because she was screaming, I think it was irritating her skin, after I took it off, her underarm was red the next day the redness went away and her ringworm was completely gone.

Bleach, Bleach and More Bleach
suggested by She Who Wishes To Irradicate Ringworm on Sunday, February 4, 2007

I was looking at this home remedy site when I found a patch of ringworm on my leg. I was lucky to have caught it in the first week or so before it got just plain ignorant and erupted like wild fire all over the place. I saw a remedy to use bleach on another website. I would dip a cottomswab into some water them into a cup of bleach. I would apply to the area twice a day and by day 3 it was all dried up and done. A warning though, it will burn like the dickens at first, accompanied by some redness and swelling. I chose redness and swelling over the ringworm. Use neosporin to help clear up the scars after the treatment is done. Best wishes on stamping out that fungi :)

You'll Think I'm Crazy...
suggested by Tim on Monday, January 15, 2007

Seriously, I still can't believe this worked! After living with ringworm on my face and arms for over a year, I was desperate to find a cure to be done with it forever... I've tried, clotrimazole, tinactin, lamisil, vinegar, tea tree oil, witch hazel... everything. Even bought the high end 'organic' products with margosa oil, which bettered the areas, but never got rid of them. I was trolling websites a couple of days ago and found a submission about windex. Hmmm.. I was desperate, so I figured it wouldn't work, but tried it anyway. You'll never believe this, but it worked. After spraying windex into a small container and applying it to the ringworm on my face and arms, the ringworm started to dry out and scab. It's been a couple of days and it's gone! I honestly thought it would dry out my skin and leave me raw and red like so many other products had already done, but the windex just attacked the ringworm itself and made it very easy to cover up. I've been using a very gentle moisturizer to equalize my skin too. This actually works and doesn't cost much money, nor does it have any of the horrible side effects that those other products have, (ie, redness, itching, burning and skin discolouration. TRY IT! IT WORKS!

Ringworm, Athletes Foot

I had very persistant ringworm on the upper thigh and groin area. I tried all pharmicist treatments and the best is nail polish. It prevents the spores from spreading and suffocates the fungal body. Use over a wider area than the visible mark as there are feeders into the rest of the skin.

Vinegar
suggested by Sabrina on Friday, December 22, 2006

All you need to do to cure ringworms for good is a little vinegar! Just soak a cotton swab in vinegar, and tape it on the ringworm. Leave it on overnight, and the ringworm will be completely gone in a few days! I used this remedy this summer, and my ringworm never returned! (It does burn if your ringworm is raw from sccratching.) Good luck!

Take clear fingernail polish and apply on the ringworm. It will die immediately and then all you need is polish remover to remove the polish.. This is 100% effective. It suffocates the worm and stops it from growing.. guaranteed to work!!

Iodine Tincture
suggested by ruth on Thursday, December 7, 2006

I have found that tincture of iodine works for this. Use the iodine to draw a circle around the outside of the ringworm, then cover the entire area. Following several applications, it will disappear. It's a process that has worked for our family.
