Diaper Rash Remedy

When I took my 15 month old son to the Dr. for a red irritated diaper rash it was due to Luv's Diapers, he can only use Pampers, but they gave me Vusion cream. That stuff cost like $112 and had to be applied every diaper change. I went to my local pharmacy and they gave me Miconazole Nitrate 2%, sounds gross but it's an athlete's foot cream which is about 8 times stronger than what the Dr. gave me but it is applied twice a day and spreads easier than any other cream I have used on him. **Also a key fact everyone must know, if it is a yeast rash on your child DO NOT use anything with cornstarch in it because that breed the yeast to make the infection worse.. Good luck...

Use Desitin with fish oil as its first ingredient. My son never had diaper rash. Apply it once a day at least to butt area and any other red area in the region.

For mydaughters severe rash I applied lots of butt paste and cornstarch lots of that too. I left the corn starch it the refrigerator so it felt cooler on contact. I didn't believe this but it actually worked, plus a little air won't hurt them either.

Just show baby's bottom in sunlight for at least 5-10 minutes, and then apply whatever you apply. That really cures it.

Here's a odd one, but believe it or not it really works. My oldest son use to get them all the time and cream after cream didn't work.So my dad went out side got a dirt dobbers nest, one they don't use any more and put it in a white sheet and crust it to a fine power sprinkled it on his butt everytime I changed his diaper like my dad said to do. He said it was an old family remedy and in about two days it was gone.

I have 8 children and what has always worked for me is either packing on a very thick layer of vaseline, or just plain fresh air..let the baby sit without a diaper for as long as possible, and then at night just pack on the vaseline.. The results are almost instant. Hopes this helps.!
