Mustard! Use plain yellow mustard straight from your refrigerator on the site of the burn immediately after the burn and let the mustard dry. The turmeric and cold mustard takes away the pain. There will be minimal to no blistering. Works amazingly and is really good for kid's burns.

This is the perfect remedy for a burn..immerse in cold water a few seconds and then put a good amount of vicks on the burn - I do this all the time and it truly works, gets rid of the pain quite quickly (and does not sting).

There is a little story about this my remedy. I was raised on gas stove. My grandmother had a electric stove, I had no clue. I touched the coils after turning the stove on and it burned me pretty bad. My grandmother held ice tto my hand for 10 minites then she would not let me touch the ice again. My hand heated up but after a haft hour the pain was gone. I never blistered and my never hurt again.

For the usual common home burn. Try white toothpaste (it has to be the white one, the others do not work) on it if you have do not have an appropriate remedy. It also works for mosquito bites like a charm!
