Causes of Preeclampsia


Though the exact causes of preeclampsia are still unknown, studies indicate that the following factors may result in preeclampsia:

  • Poor nutrition
  • High body fat / obesity
  • Restricted blood flow to the uterus
  • Damage to the blood vessels
  • Impaired immune system
