Symptoms of Mesothelioma


Depending on where the cancer develops, the signs and symptoms of mesothelioma can vary i.e.

Symptoms of Pleural mesothelioma:

  • Chest pain
  • Lower back pain
  • Chronic and painful coughing
  • Fever
  • Weight loss
  • Shortness of breath
  • Lumps of tissue under the skin of the chest
  • Fatigue
  • Excessive sweating
  • Difficulties swallowing
  • Hoarse throat
  • Muscle weakness
  • Swollen face or arms
The symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma:

  • Pain in the abdomen
  • Swelling in the abdomen
  • Lumps of tissue in the abdomen
  • Weight loss
  • Fever
  • Anemia
  • Nausea and vomiting
Pericardial mesothelioma symptoms:

It is common for people to ignore the early signs of the disease or for a wrong diagnosis to take place as symptoms can often be confused for other illnesses.
