Symptoms of Bladder Cancer


Signs and symptoms of bladder cancer include:

  • Blood in Urine (hematuria): This is the most common symptom of bladder cancer. Most often the bleeding is visible to the naked eye. Sometimes it can also be episodic and may be painless. The urine color may vary from dark yellow to a bright red or cola color. At times it may even appear normal, but a microscopic examination will reveal traces of blood.
  • Frequent Urination: There may be a need to urinate small amounts at frequent intervals.
  • Painful Urination: Urination can cause varying degrees of irritation or pain.
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Abdominal pain
  • Back pain
