Symptoms of Astigmatism

The signs and symptoms of astigmatism are usually much like those of near or farsightedness.

The three main symptoms are blurred vision, strain on the eyes and mild to severe headaches. The three symptoms are usually seen together, but some people may experience some of these signs without experiencing the others. A person may or may not experience eye strain and headaches, but anyone suffering from astigmatism will definitely experience blurred vision.

Most people will see a doctor due to blurred vision as it may cause a disruption in the daily activities and prevent you from participating in many activities. An ophthalmologist may give you an eye exam to look for any irregularities in your vision.
