Carrot juice health benefits
There is often a tendency to exaggerate the health benefits of one particular vegetable, fruit, or herb, but with carrots, there are indeed a large number of health benefits. Carrot juice might not be the cure for all ills as it is sometimes made out to be, but certainly helps with certain ailments and can contribute to your overall health.
Carrots are a great source of Vitamin A, which helps the body in many ways, the most well known of which is probably vision. Carrots also contain several other vitamins, as well as a number of minerals. They also contain antioxidants, which are extremely important in controlling disease and ageing. Another important component in carrots is dietary fiber, but this is lost to some extent when you juice carrots.
As far as sugar is concerned, carrots contain medium amounts of sugar, so you do not need to worry. Of course, anything in excess is bad, so do not overdose on carrot juice, especially if you feel you need to control your intake of sugar and carbohydrates in general. Beyond a certain point, an excess of carrots can also cause your skin to turn orange (which is harmless and temporary), and liver damage due to an excess of Vitamin A (which is a lot more serious).
