Gingivitis is a tooth disease caused by bacteria in the mouth. The bacteria live in plaque. It causes gum infection and bad breath. Here are few home remedies for treating gingivitis - - Use a toothpaste which contains saga and peppermint oil.
- Chew slowly a clove or rub your teeth with clove oil.
- For reducing swelling gargle with warm water with salt.
- Make a mixture of mustard oil and common salt. Rub the mixture on your gums and teeth for few seconds. Now gargle with warm water. Do it after every eating.
- Prepare a mouthwash of 1 liter water with 10-15 eucalyptus leaves. Heat the water for 5 minutes. Strain the water and add 2-3 drops of clove oil and boil the water. If you have no clove oil take 6-7 cloves and grind it by adding water. Use it for gargling after every meal.
- Use of toothpaste having basil, babul, margosa and mint are helpful. All have antibacterial properties.
- Rubbing the teeth with baking soda and water is helpful.
- Rubbing with aloe vera pulp is beneficial.
- Consume foods having low saturated fats.
- Eat lots of vegetables and fruits.
