Home remedy for vomiting

Vomiting in children is troublesome. It drains them of all the energy. It makes them dull and inattentive.

It is associated with other underlying conditions. Simple vomiting due to indigestion is easily relieved by smelling half a lime. Drinking a glass of lime juice also proves beneficial.

A teaspoon of ginger juice with honey aids in proper digestion and averts nausea. Rest is vital in recovery. Increase the intake of liquids and water, as vomiting results in dehydration. Fruit juices replace the lost electrolytes, vitamins and minerals. Oral rehydration solution helps in the maintenance of electrolyte balance. Sip a glass of warm water with two teaspoons of honey in it. A cold compress on the head keeps the child better. Avoid solid and fatty foods. Ginger tea stops vomiting immediately. A mixture of a teaspoon of mint and lime juice each, with half a teaspoon of ginger juice and honey is an effective technique to curb vomiting and nausea. Dry roasted cardamom seeds are powdered and consumed with honey. Read our article on vomiting for causes, symptoms and remedies.
