Treatment for PLEVA

My 10 year daughter has been diagnosed with PLEVA, very uncommon with no known cure. We are trying everything and open to all suggestions.

What an interesting skin condition!  However, I'm sure it's not much fun for you or your daughter.  Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a definitive cause --there are some theories.

It could be caused by a virus, bacteria, immune system defect, etc.  Based on your daughter's history, etiology of the condition, and presentation, a trained health care practitioner could begin some treatments to address at least one of the potential causes.  Naturopathically, most skin conditions are linked with foods, the digestive and immune systems.  And, fortunately, there are many simple treatments (like castor oil packs on the stomach) and probiotics which can go a long way to helping support these systems.  Find yourself a good natural health care practitioner, and have them develop a treatment plan for your daughter.
