How do you get rid of a hickey?

Treatment for hickey

A hickey is nothing more serious than a bruise. And like all bruises it shows up as a dark spot on your skin. This is because the capillaries under your skin are broken at that spot.  As a result the blood has accumulated at that one spot and the skin appears dark. What you can do to get rid of it, is to dip a towel in warm water and sponge the area. Do this as often as you can and keep the water as hot as you can bear it.

Use any lotion that you have around the house to coat the hickey. Now use a metal spoon to rub the area as hard as you can. Use the back of the spoon to apply pressure on the area. Move the spoon vigorously away from the hickey in all directions. When the spoon becomes warm simply use another spoon. Apply more lotion and continue this. The lotion facilitates the movement of the spoon. What you are doing by using the spoon is to ensure that the blood that has collected under your skin is being broken up, thus making it easier for it to be absorbed by the body. This in turn makes the hickey disappear faster.
